Podcast #5

Podcast #5 is in pre-production.  That means that I'm collecting material, writing scripts, and determining the theme.  Speaking of theme...I hope you guys liked the beer one...that was intense (every song had beer in the lyrics).  The last one had some valentine's day stuff tossed in.  The title, getting head (i guess thats love), and the song "gimmie some lovin'."

So...you may be asking yourself "How can I become the featured player?"  Well, If your name is Mullet Hunter, Sgt Fuzzynuts, Cleanballz, or Commodore McDrunk, then you can't because you've already had some kind of major role in the show.  Feel free to send in more of your clips and I'll try to include some, but you won't technically be the featured player.  You all will be more like regular contributors to the cast...aka staff.

But anyways, I want to feature an MB or a dedicated regular every podcast.  The idea behind this is that people would like to know more about you as a human being (not just how much you kick ass at hl2).  In order to do this, complete the following profile (copy 'n paste) and e-mail it to:  mbpodcast@gmail.com

Anyways, fill the entire thing out to be elligable for a feature.  I keep the submissions so you might not get featured right away, so don't get down.  Due to our rapidly increasing subscriber base, it is possible that I might have so damn many of these that I'll have to cut a few out because you are not "enough" of a regular...or because your profile sucks...and that just means you are a lame human being and you should jump off of a...jk.

Anyways, I thought I'd note that I've been pretty busy this last week with job interviews, school work, getting my knob polished, etc....so understand that I didn't have the time to edit out some of the noise, cracks, mistakes from this week's podcast.  I also didn't have a chance to select the player of the cast...which I hope will debut next week.  For all that...sorry.

This was the 5th cast, and the format of the show is starting to be defined.  Some of it I like a lot.  I'm a big fan of having McDrunk's regular piece, the admin corner, and some other random story/submission.  However, podcast 6 (and subsequent podcasts) will definately include a lot more half life 2 content...not just MB drinking stories.  I think we need a better balance of time between "Fun random MB shit, "server news," and "half life 2 tips/news."

You will probably see these changes in a very real way in future casts with the following:

1. Brunt's Corner - He recently got a microphone and has promised me that he will start working with me on the cast.  He has a vision for our server to have some kind of newsletter-type thing.  This podcast may very well help to serve that function.  Anyways, Brunt will be able to provide some of the "admin corner" type news.  He may also explain things that aren't too easy to explain in the forums.  or he might simply talk about whatever he wants.  After all, he's the leader.

2. Half Life 2 tip:  I know this was feated in 1 of our casts, but I want it in every single cast now.  Send in your tips now to mbpodcast@gmail.com

3. Half Life 2/Valve News:  Maybe not in every cast, but at least when something big comes up.

4. Map of the cast:  Again, this may not be in every cast, but I'd like to add it here and there to mix things up.


Anyways, please give me some feedback on these issues. Either post it on the forums, e-mail it, FedEx it, or send it via smoke signals.

It was a little long and some parts seemed like misc rambling again.

But hey, it's still good and way better than anything I could put together.
