Big news. The podcast is live. The pilot episode is already on iTunes. You can find it by searching for "Malchie Brothers".
Let me know if you've got it..or if you've having problems. Please keep in mind that this was a pilot. I realize that the show is not yet "action packed". Once we get a solid audience that will send in mail, etc...it will get better.
Also, I'm aware of a few clicks in the audio...I'm working to get these out of future podcasts.
Anyways, please give me some feedback. Also, please give me some audio clips so I can add everyone else's content to the cast. E-mail them to mbpodcast@gmail.com

Thanks for the help guys....so far I've received a lot of positive feedback with some exciting ideas. I'd like to do the next podcast over the weekend. In the meantime....I need help from EVERYONE with advertising. Please talk this up to your friends that play hl2, or are regulars on our server. I'm developing a spray right now to advertise during gameplay.

im working on installing itunes right now so i can listen to it, i read the post in the hl2 forum and now i think i got a better idea of what podcast is. i was thinking it would something like shoutcast radio that winamp had a while ago.

Commodore McDrunk,
The word "podcast" is a combination of iPod and broadcast. These are really new, but are spreading like wildfire around the country. Here at the University of Evansville, it seems like everyone has an iPod, or at least has iTunes on their computer. Podcasts enable people to find "news" that is relevant to their unique tastes and preferences. They are also extremely cheap to produce.
As for how it relates to all of us here at MB, I think a podcast will add more personality to us. I think it would be totally awesome if some of the MB could be featured on our podcast. All you'd have to do is e-mail me some kind of audio clip with your comments. Don't worry about the format, I can do all the editing. Just e-mail it to mbpodcast@gmail.com
Again, I'll need help from everyone to make this a success. Do what you can to spread the word to everyone. If you cannot make a audio clip to send to me...then please write an e-mail to the podcast with a question, comment, or something. I mean EVERYONE!

Hey Mullet Hunter,I was talking to you while playing HL and you mentioned the podcast.Well I downloaded iTUNES and was surprised how easy it was to get everything set up and listen to your live podcast.(took just a few minutes) Anyway thougth it was pretty cool and puts a voice to Mullet.I think you have a neat thing starting up.Be good to hear some of the other guys on there,and thanks for answering my Question about how to become a MB. Guys and gals you should listen to the podcast to find out how to become a MB.
Anyway lets try and make this work, so we'll try and come up with some things to talk about.Can't wait to hear the next one.
